Scott Hartmann

Scott was catapulted into fitness suddenly in 2003 when an emergency room visit revealed that his condition was caused by poor diet, lack of exercise, and being 75 pounds overweight.

This was his epiphany.

Determined to turn his life around and create the health and life balance he desperately needed, Scott began his journey into fitness and nutrition. Along the way, he eventually discovered how best to incorporate nutrition with exercise to produce quicker results and arrive at a life of balance, health, happiness, and inner peace.

Within one year, Scott lost the weight he needed and has successfully kept it off ever since. In 2007, Scott added running to his fitness regimen and has since completed seven marathons and multiple regional races, having placed first and fourth in his age group in his last two marathons.

It is through this personal experience that Scott developed his passion and commitment for sharing his fitness and nutritional knowledge by helping others in similar circumstances to get them back on track.

Today, as a Certified Personal Trainer and Running Coach, Scott excels at empowering others to meet or exceed their health and fitness goals by developing a customized plan to maximize their abilities. In addition, Scott’s innate ability to read and connect with people well through empathy and active listening further enhances the client’s experience.

Scott truly understands and can identify with those who desire to lead a better life but don’t know where to start. He realizes that embarking on a fitness plan is a personal and sometimes emotional journey, but is also one that can lead to health, balance, and inner peace. Scott makes the fitness journey fun, and takes the work out of working out!

In addition to his personal training career, Scott is equally as passionate about animals and has served as a pet sitter and dog trainer since 2008.

Scott lives in Ellicott City, Maryland. In addition to working out and pet sitting, Scott enjoys nature, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
