Since I played my first organized game of basketball at 7 years old I have been
hooked on physical fitness. I continued to play sports continuously until high
school, beginning weight training at 12 years old. I played football and golf in
high school and continued football at a Division 1-AA university.
I began as a police officer after college and immediately learned the value of
being physically fit in both the physical and mental aspects of my day to day
life. I was a SWAT and SWAT competition team member as well as trained new
recruits and veteran officers in physical fitness and weight training.
I have coached men and womens softball, basketball and football for teens. I
have been certified personal trainer for nearly two years. In that time I have
trained men, women and children as young as 12 and as mature as 70. I have
learned that each person is an individual and I adapt each training session and
routine to fit their specific needs, strengths and strive to improve or
eliminate their weaknesses.
I feel the key to a successful workout is to ensure effectiveness by eliminating
redundancy and making sure the person I train is enjoying themselves being
trained as much as I enjoy training them. The ultimate goal is to see results
and I get just as excited as the client when that happens. My philosophy is a
strong body is a strong mind and spirit.
