The most important key motivation
I hope this entry finds everybody well and gearing up for the new year. As you
anticipate the new year, and formulate your New Year's resolution, I want to
talk about what I think is the most important and most integral part of
achieving your goals, and that is motivation.
I'm not talking about the rah-rah type of motivation that you see on Instagram
or even here on TV, I'm talking about that motivation that lies deep within you,
the fears that you may have, the motives that drive your subconscious. These are
the motivating factors that I want you to write down in what I call the
motivation journal. Reason being, is there is going to come a time during your
program where you don't feel like working out, where you don't feel like eating
right. Inevitably you will hit this wall, and this is when I want you to pull
out that motivational journal.
So many times I hear clients tell me that they like where they are and at these
want to maintain. However, there is no such thing as maintenance. You're either
getting better or you're getting worse. You're either progressing or you're
regressing. What I like to tell clients is at the end of the day, you want to
look at that person in the mirror and be able to say that the person you see
looking back at you outperformed the person that you saw yesterday. At the end
of the day, your competition is you and solely you.
I wish you all the best going into this new year, and hope that you reach your
New Year's resolutions. As always, if we can help in any way feel free to
contact us anytime.
